One in a Melon Friend

Hello there crafters,

Each day that passes we are one day closer to fall and I look forward to some cooler temps. I do however live in Florida where there is really no such thing as seasons but at least a few degrees drop in temp is better than a few degrees increase in temp. Today I am showing you a fun and simple watermelon card to help us finish out the last month of summer time.

Cut down some black 100lb cardstock to create a standard top folding A2 size card.

Using the largest stitched rectangle die from MFT cut out a piece of bright pink cardstock and adhere it to the card base.

Using the Sizzix pierced rectangle die cut it out on some 80lb Neenah solar white card stock.

Using a paint stroke stamp create the watermelon using some distress oxide inks.

Distress oxides used were:

Lucky Clover

Twisted Citron

Picked Raspberry

Worn Lipstick

Using the sentiment sweet friends forever from the SSS stamp set called how we roll and stamp it out on top of the paint strokes using the inkon3 blackout ink.

Using the spellbinders small heart die cut two out of some black cardstock.

Cut the hearts in half to create the seeds for the watermelon.

Adhere the seeds to the card using some art glitter glue.

Using some pink and green stickles brush them over the watermelon to give them some bling.

Adhere some pink and green enamel dots to the card.

This completes the card for today. Thank you for joining me and have a Craft-T day y’all.
